ADHD Evaluation & Treatment for Adults and Children

Thoughtful ADHD care for adults and children (ages 3+) — in person in Nuʻuanu or by telehealth across Hawaiʻi.

G&B Integrative Psychiatry offers ADHD evaluation and treatment for adults and children in Honolulu (Nuʻuanu) and by telehealth across Hawaiʻi with Kimberly Gibu, DNP, PMHNP-BC, in English or Tagalog.

What it can feel like

ADHD can look like trouble sustaining attention, disorganization, losing track of tasks, restlessness, or acting before thinking — and it can look different in adults than in children. Everyone is distracted or restless sometimes; ADHD is a consistent pattern that affects daily life across settings. Only a full evaluation can tell whether ADHD is the right explanation for what you’re noticing.

In adults, it may show up as chronic lateness, unfinished projects, or feeling overwhelmed by everyday organization. In children, it may show up at home and school. ADHD evaluations for children start at age 6. Younger children with attention concerns can be seen for a general evaluation and referred as needed. Complex developmental or behavioral questions, including autism evaluation, are referred to specialists, and fit is decided together at intake.

Who it’s for

What to expect

Care starts with a full evaluation to understand your history and how attention affects your daily life. We don’t promise a diagnosis or a prescription in advance; both are decided only after that evaluation, together with you.

How G&B approaches it

When ADHD is present, care may include practical skills and structure, psychotherapy, and support for sleep and routines. Medication options are discussed after a full evaluation. For children, parents and caregivers are part of the plan.

Insurance & fees
