Child & Teen Psychiatric Care in Honolulu (Ages 3+)

Thoughtful care for younger patients and families — with honesty about what we do here and what is better referred to a specialist.

G&B Integrative Psychiatry sees children ages 3 and up and teens, in Honolulu (Nuʻuanu) and by telehealth across Hawaiʻi, with Kimberly Gibu, DNP, PMHNP-BC. We care for straightforward concerns and are clear about what’s better handled by a specialist.

Who it’s for

What to expect

We see children age 3 and up for straightforward concerns — such as anxiety, separation anxiety, and adjustment difficulties. More complex developmental or behavioral concerns are referred to specialists, including autism evaluation, oppositional/conduct concerns, and intensive behavioral or parent-management programs. Whether G&B is the right fit is decided together at intake, and if another level of care would serve your child better, we’ll help point you there.

Parents and caregivers are part of the work. Visits involve you in understanding what’s going on and in the plan.

How G&B approaches it

Care is whole-person: when appropriate, medication and psychotherapy with attention to sleep, stress, routines, school, and family life.
