You were born with worth. Life has a way of teaching us to doubt it, or to measure it against everything else — I can’t give you your worth, and I won’t simply tell you that you’re worthy. But I can help you remember what was always yours, and what life made you forget. Your symptoms are real and we treat them, but you’re a whole person with a story, not a diagnosis to be slotted into a box. You are the author of your own life; my role is to listen without judgment, understand your story, and help you unlock the strengths you already carry.
Real conversation. I take the time to understand you before we make a plan together.
Evidence-based prescribing and psychotherapy in one place — from one provider who takes the time to get to know your whole story.
Care that helps you remember your worth, recognize the strengths you already have, and use them well — through whatever you’re facing.
Meet your provider
Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
I’m a doctorally-prepared, board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner with more than fifteen years in healthcare — from the bedside to leading clinical programs across Hawaiʻi. I opened G&B Integrative Psychiatry to practice the kind of care I believe in: personal, unhurried, and whole-person.
I became a provider because I witnessed how proper care — with medication and psychotherapy — can truly help people through their hardest moments. I don’t do cookie-cutter care: I take the time to understand your unique story and build a plan that fits you.
As an advanced practice registered nurse, I lead with what nursing is built on: care first. I don’t just see a patient — I see a person who happens to be facing challenges. My role isn’t only to prescribe or treat; it’s to advocate for you and to understand what you truly need — physically, mentally, and emotionally, as a whole person. I also pay attention to the circumstances that shape your health — home, work, relationships, culture — and can connect you with resources and referrals as necessary. I am committed to be there with you through the whole journey — the highest highs, the lowest lows, and everything in between. That is the kind of provider I hope to be for you: someone you can truly rely on.
What I offer
Comprehensive psychiatric care across the lifespan — medication and therapy — in Honolulu or by secure video anywhere in Hawaiʻi.
A thorough, unhurried first visit to understand your history and what brings you in. I won’t rush to a diagnosis — we start building the picture and the plan together.
Evidence-based prescribing and careful ongoing monitoring — adjusted around how you actually feel, not a formula.
Talk therapy woven into your care, drawing on the approaches that fit you best — on its own or alongside medication.
I believe in meeting people where they are. In-person visits are preferred for new patients who reside in Honolulu, and secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth is available as well, for flexibility and convenience.
Concerns I work with
Simple, transparent
Clear self-pay rates — no insurance surprises, no hidden fees. You always know the cost before you book.
Card required to reserve your appointment (HSA/FSA welcome). This practice is currently self-pay — I’m happy to provide a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement, and a Good Faith Estimate is provided to every self-pay client. Reach out to ask about the insurance I accept.
Good to know
Please reach out to ask about the insurance I currently accept. For out-of-network care, I offer transparent self-pay rates and provide a superbill you can submit to your plan for possible reimbursement.
Yes. As a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with full prescribing authority in Hawaiʻi, I evaluate, diagnose over time, and prescribe and manage psychiatric medications alongside therapy.
In-person is preferred for new evaluations, and I can also do them by secure telehealth for those who don’t reside in Honolulu. Ongoing care can continue whichever way fits your life.
We spend a full hour together. I’ll learn your history and what brings you in, and we’ll start building a picture and a plan.
This practice isn’t an emergency or crisis service, and I keep set hours rather than around-the-clock coverage. If you’re in crisis or thinking of harming yourself, please call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), dial 911, or go to your nearest emergency room. As part of your care, we can also build a safety plan together — so you know exactly what to do, and who to reach, if a hard moment comes. And if your needs would be better served by a higher level of care, I’ll help connect you to it.
Aloha, and welcome. Reach out with any questions, and we can see if we’re a good fit. I’m currently welcoming new clients across Hawaiʻi. Please allow 24–48 hours for a response.
